This course provides an introduction to moral issues in Nursing. Upon completion of this course students should be able to: recognize and articulate moral issues in Nursing; recognize social and philosophical aspects of moral issues in Nursing; articulate the main principles of biomedical ethics; understand key moral concepts of biomedical ethics; be sensitive to impact of moral decisions regarding social, economic, gender, race, age, ability and religious status of those involved; and be able to formulate and justify moral solutions to moral issues in Nursing.
